BridgeAtSchools, Inc. "Giving Youth a Hand for the Future"

History

BridgeAtSchools, Inc. started in January 2002 and we have had a very interesting history. 

Please feel free to take a look at our initial presentation that was presented to the American Contract Bridge League's Board of Directors and to the ACBL Educational Foundation who gave us the initial grant to fund this project. We proceeded to hire a coordinator, Beth Maloney-Refaie, a consultant, David Idleman, and curriculum designers, Barbara Unger, Louise Acker and Chris Acker, who helped us to develop what we presently have to offer. The ACBL Educational Foundation extended our grant for several months but then we lost their funding support at the end of 2002 and have been running the program on a volunteer basis ever since. If you wish to offer assistance, please contact us. We are in need of grant writers, program coordinators, and energetic volunteers to further our objectives.
